Donald Hackett
Donald Hackett serves as the publisher for the Precision Vax information network. Don entered the news industry in 1967 by selling the Philadelphia Bulletin after school in Ardmore, PA. Since 1989. Don has helped launch digital health companies such as Physician Computer Network, drKoop.com, myDNA, 1-800-Doctors, Mirixa, Digital Pharmacist, and Precision Vax.
With the competition of the Human Genome Project in 2003, Don foresaw the future of personalized vaccinations.
'We believe vaccine information should be based upon unbiased scientific research. Moreover, vaccine information should be published in a 'positive' voice, with a neutral industry 'tone,' encouraging relevant patient-provider conversations to reduce over-vaccination and reduce overall health costs.'
Donald has served as an advisor to the University of Texas College of Pharmacy, Texas eHealth, Pharmacist eCare Plan, Immunization Information System and was a founding member of the HIPAA work-group in 1995.
